We are offering this divine water font of European origin made early 1800. It has been totally handmade; the silverwork is decorated with highly detailed branches with leaves, scrolls, simulated openwork which reveals different textures…on top a St. James shell design which repeats to the holy water font itself. To the center a shell cameo of the highest quality depicting Mary Magdalene with a crucifix and a skull…It is placed on a wooden following its contour bearing an important hanging loop…at his back the original blind nuts. It has wonderful age patina which enhances its beauty…It measures: 6 3/8” total length, by 4” total width... the cameo measures 2 1/2" by 2 1/8" (widest points). No marks but tested silver. Excellent condition commensurate with age…Unique!
