This is a starfish fossil found in Morocco, North Africa.   There are actually 2 fossils present - a star fish and a brittle star.  The star fish measures approximately 1 inch x 1 inch, and the entire piece measures 6 1/4 inches in length x 4 3/4 inches in width.  This starfish dates back to the Ordovician time period, approximately 450 Million years ago!
